For Love of Cosmetics
For most of us, plastic surgery is out of the question for one reason or another. What else can one do? The cosmetic industry has developed new and improved products to minimize the signs of aging.
New foundation primers are awesome. I like to think of them as spackle – in fact, one is even named Spackle. These primers go on before foundation and they even out skin tone, make pores appear smaller, and hide imperfections. Some even contain sunscreen and can be worn alone, without foundation.
Lipsticks are now available that actually do stay on all day. I highly recommend them. You put on your base coat of colour and then wait a few minutes. Then, you put on a gloss that literally locks in the colour. Only minor touch-ups of the gloss are needed throughout the day. Lips looked moist and stay well hydrated, which means the wearer looks younger.

Have thin eyelashes? There’s a new prescription medication available that actually helps women grow thicker eyelashes. Personally I would have to think twice about using this product, but for some, it may be the golden solution they have been yearning for.
Mineral based cosmetics are all the rage. Loose powders enriched with minerals are brushed onto skin. When used in combination with primers, the loose powders make skin appear totally flawless and natural.
Not into cosmetics at all? Not to fear. One does not have to wear make-up to feel or look beautiful. One of my former boyfriends asked me why I put “all that goop on my face everyday.” He said I looked better and sexier without it. What a wonderful compliment!

I have to admit, just between us, I still love my make-up. I don’t wear as much as I used to, choosing only to highlight my eyes and lips. I enjoy experimenting with the new products and colours. After all, it’s fun being a girl!
You can even make think lips look fuller and thicker than they actually are however if you really struggle you can get both non surgical treatments such as injections that make you lips look thicker and last a few months through to more permanent solutions such as Permalip which is new form of cosmetic surgery that is being offered to patients in the UK by Cosmetic Surgery Consultants (More on cosmeticsurgeryconsultants.co.uk)
